  • Power in the Park 2026, powered by Permobil, is a free, fun, and fully inclusive community day - everyone is welcome.

This is a fun community open day where accessibility and inclusion are at the heart, and we hope every visitor leaves feeling safe, connected, and enthusiastic about opportunities.

Through sessions and experiences, people (disabled and able-bodied) can engage with various aspects of mobility and disabilities to increase their knowledge and confidence in products and services that are available to users, families and community members. We cater for varying levels of interest and needs from new users to clinical therapists, from those in wheelchairs to those with vision impairment. You can attend for an hour, or two, or stay the whole day.

Register today and enjoy free food vouchers when you arrive, along with the chance to win amazing event tickets in our prize draw.

With a focus on removing barriers and improving independence, Able Axcess provides innovative products designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and quality of life.

Manufactured in Palmerston North, the company’s Aluminium Modular Ramp System offers a flexible, reusable access solution for wheelchair users, people using walkers, and those with mobility challenges. Designed for quick installation with minimal disruption, each ramp is tailored by experienced technicians to meet the unique requirements of the individual and site.

Able Axcess also supplies Rubber Threshold Ramps, made from recycled tyres, providing a simple and cost-effective way to navigate small steps, doorways, and uneven surfaces. Suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walkers, and other assistive devices, these ramps can be ordered online and delivered directly to customers throughout New Zealand.

The company’s Axcess Bathrooms combine modern design with comfort, dignity, and universal accessibility. Transportable, low-maintenance, and built to meet stringent building standards, these bathroom units offer a warm, welcoming, and non-clinical environment. Whether required as a temporary solution or a permanent addition, they provide a practical and attractive answer to accessible bathroom needs.

Another innovative offering is the Level Shower Insert, which transforms many standard showers into safe, level-entry spaces without the need for major renovations. This solution improves accessibility, reduces installation costs, and creates a safer bathroom environment for people with limited mobility.

Known for its problem-solving approach and commitment to customer satisfaction, Able Axcess works closely with individuals, families, and organisations to find the right accessibility solution. By combining locally manufactured products, expert installation services, and a passion for improving mobility, Able Axcess continues to help New Zealanders live with greater independence, confidence, and freedom.
